Shrinky Dinks

I {heart} Shrinky Dinks!  (If you don't know what a Shrinky Dink is, click on the link and view the awesomeness!)

Well, for a Chemistry project, we had to make something out of a Shrinky Dink.  My genius idea was to make a ring.  I'm sure there are plenty of people who came up with this very same idea, and I'm sorry, you can take the credit for my inspiration if you would like it.  I doubt I was the first!

What?  You want to see pictures?  Okay!

Yes, I do know these aren't rings, but I made these too, out of polymer clay.

Oh, and once I get some more shrinky dinks, I'll be posting my 1st tutorial!  :)  I sound kinda stupid saying that...  And I guess I could do a tute for the earrings too.  Leave a comment if you want one!

Well, I'm going to go study for chemistry, so have a wonderful day!

Look!! I feel all techie!

I finally made a button for my blog!  -------------------------------------------------->

So, if you want to show your support, and help more people find out about my blog, put it on yours!

All you have to do is:

  • Highlight the code in the box and copy it  (Click file, then Copy)
  • Open the 'customize' page of your blog
  • Click: 'add a gadget'
  • Then paste the copied code into the text box
  • Click Save and enjoy my button's presence on your blog!
If you want to make your own button, check out theses links:

For the image:  here
For the scroll box:  here
To alter your code:  here or here (The first link is why you do it, the second will do it for you)

FYI:  It's really helpful if you read the instructions first.  I know from experience.

Possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen.

Check it out!  The awesome creation of the folks at the 'something's hiding in here' etsy shop have the coolest random thing (for lack of better adjective)-   Mustaches on a Stick!  Go check it out right now, and I promise your day will become about ten times better.  Seriously.

A little expensive at 36 bucks per stache, so none for me, but hey, if you get one, let me borrow it, kay?

While we're on the topic of Mustaches, check out these other cool finds:

How amazingly gorgeous is this little rose barrett? I know Valentine's day is TOMORROW but these would still be darling on a little girl (or yourself) any time of the year.

Go here for the tutorial.

Stay here for pretty pictures...

I'll take two of each.

Share a Little Love

I'm guessing that in the past week every person who reads this post will have had a terrible day. If not terrible, you've had a day that could've been better. Am I right?

Well, yesterday was one of those days. Until about 12:43, that is. On my way to Spanish, I happened to glance at the wall as I passed. There was a small Sticky-note stuck to the wall and I, being the curious person that I am, took a small step towards the bright yellow message.

Only you can make today the best day of your life.

Hello! I swear someone had been watching me all day, and put that note exactly where I would see it, so that I would stop acting as if the world hated me, and to choose for myself how my own day would be.

I walked on, leaving the note behind for someone else to be inspired by, but that one note stuck with me through the rest of the day. I would have a great day today, I thought to myself. And I did.

That note turned out to be a fantastic idea from whoever put it there, and I am certainly happy they did.

NOW, I have a challenge for everyone that reads this blog. Write a note, it doesn't have to be long, it just has to be sincere. Leave it on a co-workers desk. Put it in a random locker on your way to your next class. Stick it on a wall. Leave it anywhere people wouldn't expect to find something like that. And I PROMISE that you will make someone's day. Isn't that worth it?
